Feeling Christmas Movie Fatigue? Try something novel.

🎄 The Christmas Movie I Longed For — and Finally Wrote 🎄

Thanksgiving’s over, the pumpkins are out of the way, and the holiday lights are beginning to twinkle. You know what that means—it’s officially Christmas movie season.

If your TV looks anything like mine, you’re already seeing the familiar lineup: Hallmark marathons, Netflix holiday specials, and cheerful posters of people wrapped in scarves, standing in the snow, looking lovingly at one another.

Don’t get me wrong—I adore Christmas movies. I’ve watched them all. But as I curled up with yet another story about a big-city woman finding love in a small town (usually while saving a bakery, toy shop, or Christmas festival), I couldn’t help but crave something more.

I wanted a Christmas story that sparkled differently—something with wit, history, and heart.

That’s when Hurry Down the Chimney was born.

Set in dazzling 1950s New York, this is the Christmas movie I longed for: A story about ambition and creativity. About a woman who doesn’t need to “leave the city” to find herself. About the writing of a holiday song that becomes a timeless classic.

It’s a love story, yes—but also a story about owning your voice and daring to dream in an era that often told women to stay quiet. Think vintage glamour, witty banter, and all the nostalgia of the season wrapped up in one sparkling package.

So while you’re watching your favorite Hallmark movies this year, make room for one more—this one on your bookshelf.

📖 Hurry Down the Chimney is out November 5! You can order it now on Amazon: https://amzn.to/42rryVb

This holiday, I hope it brings you the same joy, laughter, and magic that writing it brought me.
